During early 2020, Oasis Media was fortunate enough to work with the Office of Sport to deliver a series of videos which promoted initiatives supporting women’s sport in NSW. The videos coincided with the ICC T20 Women’s World Cup being held in Australia.
The first of two videos showcased the inaugural NSW Women’s Regional Bash. The tournament, which culminated in the semi-finals and final being played at the Sydney Cricket Ground enhances the performance pathway for female cricketers from regional areas to showcase their skills.
Oasis Media was also engaged to produce a two-minute video highlighting the work of the Daughters and Dads Active and Empowered program. Developed by the University of Newcastle, the program is an award-winning evidence-based initiative, proven to enhance the physical and social-emotional well-being of girls.
Both videos were shown at the inaugural Her Sport Her Way Awards Gala Dinner at the Sydney’s International Convention Centre. The evening recognised and celebrated the achievement of leaders in women’s sport through awards and storytelling.
Overall, the ICC T20 Women’s World Cup attracted more than 136,000 spectators and was the most watched ICC women’s event in history.
Oasis Media has also worked with the Office of Sport to capture vision as part of the SailGP INSPIRE Camp, held at the Point Wolstoncroft Sport and Recreation Centre on the shores of Lake Macquarie.
